Laser Dog Games has a great library of iOS games so far – their most recent release Hopiko [appprice url="asdf"] is fantastic – so when they announce something new, you need to pay attention. PKTBALL (pronounced Pocketball) is a new Pong-style game where you take on up to 3 other players on the same device. And of course, you’ll have to deal with weird, random events like fish balls. I don’t recall that being in the original Pong, but seems fun!
I’ll be interested to see how this works on a single device with 4 people, but Laser Dog is pretty good at touch controls, so I’m not concerned at the playability with 4 people crowded around a tablet, just curious. The various characters and backgrounds look like fun, and there’s a lot of game feel elements, like when the balls are hit, that could make this feel fun to play too. This one’s set to hit on April 7th, and it should be worth watching out for.
