We’ve posted about Tomb of the Mask from Happymagenta before, but there’s another game from them that’s pretty promising, and is releasing the week of December 14th, though there is no set release date in particular. This is a dungeon crawler that features Game Boy esque grayscale visuals, and it’s turn-based on a grid, but don’t call it a roguelike, as it features fixed levels to play through.
Where the game really mixes things up is that you have 3 moves per turn, and can wait at any point, but enemies also have multiple moves per their turns, so you have to play intelligently to not get beaten up in one fell swoop by oncoming enemies. Into the Dim is very challenging and will require some practice, planning, and upgrades to your health, limited-use ammo, and move count in order to do well at the game. This one will be free-to-play with various video ads and IAP for more coins when it launches next week.
