I feel like as iOS devices have gotten better, the constant annoyance that is dealing with media in iTunes has stayed the same. iTunes works great if you’re up for doing everything inside of the specific iTunes workflow, but if you want to do things as simple as keep your audio files in formats that iTunes doesn’t like, you’re SOL when it comes to syncing. Well, courtesy of TouchArcade Deals, we’re offering a nifty Mac app called WALTR which solves that problem.
You plug your iPhone or iPad in, load up WALTR, then you just drag any kind of media file on to it to add it to your device. Have some crazy .mkv video file, or something similar? WALTR handles all the appropriate conversions and transfers it to your device so it’s playable inside of the native iOS media player apps. So, you get all the benefits of using the native apps on your device without the annoyance of needing to use iTunes to get there.
Anyway, if this sounds cool to you, check it out on TouchArcade Deals.
