If you’re a fan of ustwo, particularly their breakout hit Monument Valley ($3.99), you might be happy to know that they have a brand new game that is out today, a gorgeous game called Land’s End. There’s just one problem, if you may call it that – it’s a VR game and it’s only available for the Samsung Gear VR, an accessory that turns select Samsung phones into VR displays and controls. Land’s End lets you explore a mysterious world and solve puzzles in it, and while the trailer here is in 2D, it still looks fascinating:
While it’s certainly quite possible that Land’s End will never come to iOS unless some kind of VR solution for iPhones becomes reality, the game certainly looks gorgeous enough in 2D that I wouldn’t mind it as a more standard release at some point. This is especially true since it’s built for a mobile operating system from the get-go, where many VR games for Oculus and Vive are being made for extremely powerful computers. So, hold out hope, perhaps?
