1Button has developed a reputation for making some solid puzzlers with minimalist art styles, and their next game is looking like it’s gonna be well in that vein, but with a new physics puzzler twist. Super Sharp will have you making cuts in objects to hopefully cause gravity and the other laws of physics to make your newly cut pieces hit the squares in the level, in order to successfully complete it. The GIFs of the game are looking super-smooth:
It’s looking rather slick, and their previous game Quetzalcoatl ($1.99) was a fun puzzler that a lot of folks loved, so there’s plenty of reason to keep an eye out for Super Sharp. There will be 120 levels in the game, and various elements like ropes, and tricks like inverted gravity, will come into play. Super Sharp will release on October 8th for $1.99, but keep an eye on the forum thread, you may just be able to win early codes for the game.
No, damnit! Nooooooooooo! Whyyyyyyyy!?!?
I've been surprised at how quickly esports has taken on all the most obnoxious traits of traditional sports. Inane casters, many of whom prattle on without insight? Check. Obnoxious ads? Not as bad as a normal sporting even but they're getting there. Post-game interviews were the winner drops the word "respect" into every sentence? Check. Hell, why not gambling? :P
The day that Joe Buck calls eSports, just sink into the ocean.
As long as the developers have it implemented correctly, it should be relatively okay.
(I think I misunderstood this article originally in my original comment, sorry bout that.)
I often wonder why my Vainglory teammates are laning with Koshka, jungling with Ringo, buying 6 minion candies, and running into the same gank 5 times in a row.
Now I know: there must be money bet against us, and they're taking a dive!
I LIKE THESE NEW ARTICLES THE CARTER CRATER KEEP IT UP MY FRIEND 😄
Hearthstone, competitive. Hah. Let's just all build the same deck and see who gets less screwed by RNG.
Interesting article. Draft Kings and Fan Duel have been huge this year and this one-day fantasy stuff has definitely been catching on.
The "skill" part of it is a complete joke. Standard fantasy football is heavily centered around sheer luck and fluke performances, and the single game version used for Fan Duel ext. just exaggerates that aspect.
Don't think this is such a huge concern. The fact that eSports are now included will only make them more important and more popular. While there could be greater chances of cheating, there is just as great or greater chance that the increased exposure will result in much more competitive play. The greater number of times someone loses, the less a chance he or she has to continue competing. An NFL running back can fumble on purpose, but how many fumbles until he loses his job. And as long as prize winnings adjust to a proper scale, most of gambling concerns are overblown. Especially fantasy. However, if you look to soccer, straight up gambling influences more results than anyone can imagine. Lots of influence has come from Far East. I could imagine some shady LOL or CSGO tournaments in the future as a result of traditional gambling, but I doubt the public would ever realize it. Fantasy has a safeguard by focusing on individuals rather than teams so direct influence is less.
