Masayuki Ito’s .Decluster Zero: Bullet Nocturne ($4.99) is out now on the App Store. It had kind of an odd release, where the Lite version was out last week ahead of the full version’s release today, but now the full paid version is out worldwide. There was briefly a bug that affected the game view, but that’s been addressed and the game is running perfectly fine now.
This is a sequel/remix to .Decluster: Into the Bullet Hell (Free), which we reviewed highly. You’ll be piloting a ship amidst a flurry of bullets, firing off bullet-cancelling homing lasers to help you out. The game immediately feels better than its predecessor, with a high-resolution visual option, and just a smoother feel to the proceedings that make this worth checking out. It does feel like it ramps up in intensity faster than the original game did, so maybe you’ll want to play the original first, or prepare for a trial by fire with .Decluster Zero.
