One of my favorite games of 2015 is the adorable and bloody puzzle platformer Furdemption (Free) from developer RareSloth, which launched just about a month ago. In it you guide a cute bunny rabbit through the treacherous depths of hell over the course of 100 increasingly complex levels. From the fluid animations, to the wonderful art style and music, to the cuteness of your rabbit juxtaposed with its horrific death scenes, Furdemption fires on all cylinders, and we happily gave it 5 stars in our review. Today we have learned that more Furdemption is coming our way in the form of an expansion titled The Widow’s Den.
As you might have guessed from the name of the expansion, The Widow’s Den will feature lotsofspiders. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I DO NOT like spiders, not one bit. Vile little creatures. This update isn’t looking poised to change my mind about them either, as the spiders in The Widow’s Den will relentlessly shoot poison at you, causing you to swell up and explode. Not fun! Along with poison spewing spiders, another new feature is a special rabbit hole that you can push items into and transport them, kind of like a portal. Check out both of these new features in animated .gif form below.
These are just a couple of the new features planned for The Widow’s Den, which in total will include another 40 hand-crafted levels. In addition, the oft-requested Game Center leaderboards will also be making an appearance, so you can challenge your friends to beat your completion times on a per-level or an overall basis, and then laugh in their stupid face when they fail. The Widow’s Den update is expected sometime in mid-August, and in the meantime you can chat up the game in the Furdemption forum thread.
