‘Tales from the Borderlands’ Episode 2 “Atlas Mugged” Releases Next Week

TouchArcade Rating:

With episode two of Game of Thrones (Free) from Telltale already out, fans of the Tales from the Borderlands (Free) series were left waiting and wondering when episode 2 of that series was going to be out. Well, good news, folks! Telltale has just announced that episode 2 is rolling out on iOS (and other platforms, but who cares about those, right) next week. Check out the trailer for episode 2, “Atlas Mugged."

The episode will pick up where the first episode ended with the discovery of the Gortys Project, and Handsome Jack’s “ghost" will be involved as well. Oh, and plenty of people out to kill the foursome of Fiona, Sasha, Rhys, and Vaughn. I loved episode one in my review of the game, and am quite excited to get my hands on this next week, though episode one set quite a high bar for this to try and jump over.

For all those who never tried it, please do so: one of the best strategy games on the App Store. Buy the non-consumable IAP: show that there is an audience for this!

Bought several IAP back when I used iOS.

Now I'll happily buy it all over again!

I'm still salty this didn't get a 5-star rating back in the day. It deserved it.

Great game, and I hope people will give it a try, or rediscover it now that it's been overhauled.

Been awhile since I played this, but its a great game. Definitely reccomend to those who havent tried.

Best competitive TBS hands down. There isn't another TBS game I can think of with as polished a matchmaking and ladder system. If you're put off by the art style, don't be fooled. It's a deeply strategic game despite a simple rule-set. No special currency or consumables either, it's a premium game. The free entry point is just to give players a chance to try out the game before committing to any purchases, basically a restricted trial.

Anyone know of any good strategy guides for it? So I can learn the basics? I wish there was single player to work on getting better before being destroyed in multiplayer.

You can do friendly matches, which don't affect your rank. Otherwise you'll be within your specific skill group, so if you like the game enough you will get better. I'm the kind of person who bemoans the lack of single player, but it doesn't bother me here at all. And if you go to OML's forums there's people discussing strategy as well!

I would recommend watching some replays - have a look on the forums

Aww, the update isn't compatible with the iPhone 5 anymore.

      1. Intendro

What? An update that removes support? And of the second-newest numbered iPhone model? What is this? 😐

        1. Intendro

I've heard of updates having to remove support of like 2-3 earlier whole-number iOS versions, but... Removing support for what's only now the second-newest iPhone number? This isn't even a new game being too much for the thing... which is still happening to the iPhone 5 in some cases, and this goes beyond even that.

When I ditch iOS for Android, this was the single and only game I was sure I would always miss.
Now time to rebuy all the IAP these guys have to offer!
