Towards the end of October, Phil Hassey’s Galcon 2 entered a “Fan-Premier" launch, which was a point where fans could sign up to play a desktop version of the game that was just out of the beta period but not quite ready for full launch yet. Over the weekend, Hassey sent word that Galcon 2 is finally ready for submission, and that he’s shooting to have the game released before Christmas if everything goes smoothly with Apple’s approval process. Here’s a new trailer that touts the “Demolition Derby in Space" nature of the new Galcon.
Galcon 2 has been in the works for nearly two years, and is the official sequel to the original Galcon which sparked off the “swarming planets" genre of strategy games on mobile way back in mid-2008. The sequel will have a huge emphasis on online multiplayer, and as you can briefly see in the trailer above will take things to a much grander scale. If all goes according to plan, look for Galcon 2 before Christmas, or if it doesn’t make it in time for that sometime shortly thereafter.

Fucking finally
For those who dont like IAP's- save your time and energy and skip this one.
Heard this from a Canadian friend. Saddens me as this had so much potential.
Now you're hearing it from another Canadian, friend. I was really excited- but Seabeard turned me off within the first 20 minutes.
Same here.... Seabeard might as well be renamed, "IAP: The Waiting Game."
Yep. I stopped playing when I had to wait something like 5 minutes before selling another fish right at the beginning of the game. Can you imagine how long you have to wait for high level items??
Another game ruined by IAP.... When will Devs ever learn?
It's not the Devs who need to learn; it's the gamers. If idiots would stop dropping money on consumable IAPs they would disappear. Until that happens, it's only going to get worse.
Somewhere hidden deep inside this piece of iAP-ridden, constant timer laced Animal Crossing clone is an amazing game, just desperately trying to get out.
Such a shame. As previously said by others, if you are not a fan of timers and wasting money on shallow gaming chutney, don't waste your time here!
Have you played it since they finished all their soft launch tweaks? It's a much different game, and ironing out those kinks is the whole purpose of doing a soft launch. It's significantly better now.
Yes I've played. To be honest I can't see much difference. The travel games are a little easier but still tedious. There is still ridiculous bag space issues, timers on everything and nagging about spending real money.
I'm so anxious to try the game, but peoples' comments here are seriously worrying me. I so badly want this game to live up to its potential.
I don't mind a game with IAP if it's reasonable in its implementation, but people here have got me worried that's not the case with Seabeard.
Please make this a premium purchase. I will gladly spend 10 bucks on this game without annoying timers and bag space issues. It is a gem. Please give it the treatment it deserves by making it premium
I stopped playing this about a month ago. I hope it's better now. It's really a great game, but it was just too ssllloooooowwwww.
Already deleted this game too much waiting like spellfall, gawd they really love to make people wait.
Hasnt this game already been out for two months now? Weird.... I swear I have already played and deleted this game.
It's a nice game at first, but...............there's much waiting and irritating asking to spend your money in more bag space etc. Played it at the beginning (soft launch) but have deleted it already. I had high hopes but it isn't come through.
