We’ve been following news of the release of Final Fantasy Agito for quite some time now, and where we last left off a western release for this free to play Final Fantasy game was very uncertain. None of that seems to have changed, but the game is now available for download on the Japanese App Store. Keep in mind, it has no English localization, so, it might be pretty difficult to play if you can’t read Japanese.
Thankfully, we do have someone on staff here at TouchArcade who is fluent in Japanese, so, if you guys all say really nice things to Shaun Musgrave maybe we can get him to review it for us. In the meantime, feel free to follow along with the thread in our forums while people try to brute force their way through menu options they don’t understand.

Thanks for the review! Yes, the game feels a little random when you start playing it, but you can beat it very consistently if you take defensive spells :-)
This game is fantastic. Live the arena mode. Yes, sometimes it is a bit intense die to randomness but, of you take your time and plan it's a perfect balance of chess-like strategy and action. Love the visual style too. Really can't say one bad thing about this one.
This and Amber Halls are fantastic, love both of them. Diego did tweet a wordpress of the development of Amber Halls that teased his new game. If you enjoy this game or Amber Halls, I think you should check it out.
It's a boring game. Instead i highly recommend 868-Hack.
I like 868-HACK a lot, but it's so hardcore and intense. I get more actual pleasure when playing Power Grounds.
I'm a big fan of 868-hack (I'm #3 on the leaderboards). Power Grounds is meant to be a quicker and more accessible game.
(More accessible in terms of gameplay...)
