Gameloft’s latest game Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Free) is now out worldwide for $2.99. A tie-in for the movie of the same name that is currently showing in theatres, it follows Captain America in an original adventure co-written by Marvel. You’ll punch and slam your shield at your enemies’ face while assembling a team of soldiers to fight alongside you. Here’s a video of the game in action that we captured at GDC:
This is not the first time that Gameloft has partnered with Marvel and its last game was Thor: The Dark World (Free). We thought it was a pretty mediocre game when we reviewed it, and felt that it didn’t have the necessary spark. Let’s hope that Captain America: The Winter Soldier will bring out the thunder that we expected from Thor. Follow this thread for some early impressions on the game. Oh and a word of warning, it requires a constant online connection to play.

Another dull release nite! Can't comment on Ftl as I don't have an iPad. Monument Valley is brilliant don't let the princess or pastel colours put you off. Reminds me of works by Escher. Lightbringers is broken even after turning off apps and rebooting it keeps freezing and crashing and as for the rest, no thanks!
If you're put off of a great game because of pastel colors, just go read a damned book or something. Yeesh.
That Warhammer game looks like it mint be better as freemium.
Might, not mint.
Just shut up
Gonna grab Monument Valley but otherwise a very weak week
Wish I could try Skyline Surfers err Skaters...even though seems like the art style is a direct rip from Subway Surfers in the description it even says "Get out of the subway" or something like that
Why does everyone feel the need to comment on how "weak" a release day is? What has to happen to make it worth your time, oh sensitive ones?
They are all very kind and want Eli to keep his money.
I feel like scientists will unlock the secrets of cold fusion power before we figure this one out. In one day we get an insanely awesome Castle Doombad update, possibly one of the most anticipated iPad games of the last year, a beautiful puzzler, and a bunch of other neat stuff but it's still "weak" and "dull."
I think people derive some sense of satisfaction being so openly negative and miserable.
It's because none of them are as good as Oceanhorn. Looking forward to GOTW comments now.
Nah..its because poor people want free games..
Poor people want free games that are innovative and at least 20 hours. Why shouldn't developers give away stuff like that (SARCASM)? I am sure when all of these people are old enough for jobs they will work for free and just live at home with their parents.
Great week, just because of Monument Valley! Just insta-smashed the buy button :D
FTL... FTW!
Best Week Ever! FTL, Hearthstone!
Let's see.....tonight we get FTL, Monument Valley, new Castle Doombad content, new Lone Wolf content, and a new Warhammer game. So it's definitely not a dull release night. And any night that features the release of two Game of the Year contenders (FTL and Monument Valley) certainly isn't weak.
lightbringers looks awesome
FTL and Monument Valley alone make this a solid week
Monument Valley is so awesome! Graphics, sound design and the mechanics are just plain perfection. This is really a piece of art. And it is a lot of fun, too. I'm normally not that into puzzle games, but this one just nails it.
I've already got about six hours of play vested in Monkey Flight 2 and still have several more to go, then I can go back and try to 3 star all the levels I haven't yet. The game is really fun and a great follow-up to part one. For me, an arcade game/high score fan, this game is perfect. GOTW for sure. Looking forward to more Donut Games goodness. :)

Monument Valley is pure beauty. A fantastic puzzle game, and a tribute to the genius of M.C. Escher, with some amazing artworks. Five stars, in my humble opinion.
Is Eli wearing a Rammus hat in the Warhammer 40k: Storm of Vengeance video?
If he is: AWESOME!!!!
