Back in December, Games Workshop and developer Eutechnyx announced a new game in the Warhammer universe for Steam and mobile devices called Warhammer 40k: Storm of Vengeance. While that initial announcement came with very few details other than it would be a “lane strategy" game, in late February Eutechnyx released a teaser trailer for Storm of Vengeance along with a few extra bits of info, one of which was a planned release date of March 27th. Today, the developer has sent word that Storm of Vengeance’s release has been pushed back by just a week, and will now arrive on April 3rd. If you want a closer look at Storm of Vengeance than what was provided in the previously released teaser trailer, here’s a brand new developer diary video to check out.
In addition to the new release date, Eutechnyx has announced a variety of downloadable content that will be available right alongside the game’s launch. This includes new unit types like the jetpack-equipped Ork Stormboy, the powerful Dark Angel Dreadnought, and the Deathwing Terminator who can teleport in additional units to help in battle. Besides new unit types, there will also be new Ork skins available. Based on previously announced information, the base game of Storm of Vengeance will launch for $4.99 and it sounds like the DLC pack will run 99¢ each. If you’re excited for Warhammer 40k: Storm of Vengeance, then sit tight, you’ll just have to wait a bit longer for April 3rd.
