We know what you’re thinking, but give Trucker: Parking Simulator (Free) a chance. Parking a massive truck with a stupid big trailer can be as rewarding as landing a video game airplane. It takes a lot of skill, a lot of understanding of how physics, momentum, and trajectory play into the perfect parking job. It’s kinda surprising (and awesome), as Eli and I discovered today.
This sim’s a particularly hard sale because the titling is so awful, so we decided to do a little video of the game in action to show it off. In the below, Eli and I power through several levels, carefully avoiding all road cones and parking like pros. Give it a look and, hey, maybe get as hooked on this thing as we are at the moment:
You can grab this right now, by the way, and you should if you need another simulator in your life. Here’s a Steam link to Eurotruck Simulator 2 for PC, as well, since we talked about it so much.

I wonder if cross-platform also means you will be able sync saves between platforms.
This game could become the best mobile/desktop game for me to become less productive at: work/home/school/train/walking/eating/sleeping/weddings/family gatherings/girlfriend/friends/DMV/jury duty/AA meetings and bathroom if they add cross platform saves, and these other awesome features.
Well. I admit now that I have some serious problems that I don't want fixed.
When do the Star Command Anonymous meetings start?
I love this game. It's probably because I went in with zero expectations and had / have no idea what was originally planned. The replayability is slim for now but updates are gonna help this immensely. On my fourth play through on Blackhole difficulty and it's still fun. Looking forward to anything that comes next!!!
Sounds like they are still working toward their original direction for the game, which is good news! I look forward to the potential of these future updates and to how they can improve the game! Lets hope the wait isn't too unbearable!
Just hope this expansive updates will come soon as I don't know how much will I be able to hold off from deleting game with currently no replay value out of my memory space.
You do realize you don't need to keep it on your device right? It'll be right there on the iTunes purchased list when the update comes out and you're ready to play again...
I knew some wise guy would try to explain the obvious thing to look smart...
You didn't know that!
heh heh
The game is only like 122MB. You must have lots of fun stuff on your device :).
i just hope upcoming updates will not be in app purchases.
Zero indication they will be. Not the biz model.
I went in with zero expectations too, and walked away bored. The name is misleading, you're not commanding a ship. They should call this Star "Shoot Aliens as they board your indestructible spaceship."
Let me know when/if they do actually update this with anything interesting.
MAN U ARE REALI HARD ON A 2.99$ game don't play it then its great with no iap purchase Man U can't even get a gallon of gas for 2.99$ an u complaining smh
For every dollar spent on a game I expect one hour of entertainment, I think that's fair. This includes pc games, console games etc. this cost three bucks and I think collectively I've been playing for ten hours. That's good in my book :)
You won't be saying that with a 64 gb or 128 gb device full of games. Then suddenly $2,99 is a lot per game.
...You buy that many games? I doubt very many people buy more than ten at the most. And that's around 30-50$ at prices of $0.99/$3.99
The price of one normal game on a console. and while I love consoles, This is a great price.
I don't think that's a very fair criticism. You speak to aliens as the captain, you hire crew for your ship and assign them roles. You build various rooms in the ship. You control your crew's every movement beyond minor wandering when they're idle. If that's not being in "Command" of the game I don't know what is. I know people are disappointed that the scope of the game is not what was expected, but hyperbole certainly doesn't help when complaining.
The dialog is a storyline, it has no impact on the game. You build your two rooms in the first 5 minutes and that's it. Ok, you do have to assign roles. But the entire game just comes down to shooting aliens as they board your ship. Everything else is meaningless and seemingly has no impact on the game. It's not hyperbole. After 3-4 battles the repetition got old and I was bored of the game.
He's right you know. Everything besides fighting is superfluous to the actual gameplay. It's a good, if not modest, step towards the product promised on kickstarter. That being said, as it is there wasn't much to hold my interest beyond an hour. The fighting is extremely repetitive, especially given the lack of consequence having an invincible ship provides. The other bummer is that the whole thing is supposed to be reminiscent of Star Trek, or at least that's what I assume WB is going for, but having generic crewmen takes out the one thing Star Trek had...character.
I don't feel WB deserves the level of harshness people have used in their critiques, but yes, they do actually deserve a high degree of scrutiny given their failed kickstarter promises.
That's me playing middle fiddle folks.
I like your title for the game. It's pretty accurate hehe. At least this game has devs that we all know will make their vision come true with time.
I'm still too sore over SimCity to mind this game not being what it was expected to be.
My biggest disappointment is with the Ignore the Damage exploit/glitch. Ideally would expect
Sry
I really would expect something that major to get flagged in beta testing. That just emphasizes how poorly organized WB is. So any promises of super-wonderfulness leaves me cold. Nevertheless it's on my iPad and ill continue to watch.
I'm unusual, but I enjoyed the 'ignore the damage' 'glitch'. Never really makes sense that you can fix your ship anywhere anytime w/o supplies.
A better game mechanic would require supplies for certain damage or beyond X% of damage. Also explains why engineers are always struggling to keep things working.
Also, indestructable ship kept the focus on Captain (and important noble visitors).
Well, if it really was Star Trek we'd use the replicator. But seriously, I don't think it was WB's intention to have such a mechanic in the game. I can't tell you how disheartened I was when it became clear that you could just "let the engine room burn". Alpha testers traditionally are told "go forth and break it". Yet we have a game who's underlying rule set is massively flawed. Not to flog a dead horse but I have to ask how does something like that get through after two years of development? There something fundamentally wrong with the organization. If WB thinks they can take this show to PC, Mac and, I suspect Steam, they are going to get torn up really bad. I'd rather not see that.
Yup, I'm done with it for now but will keep it on my iPad to check out the updates..
Loved the art direction though..
You sold me at squad grouping.
Though I'd give you guys more money if you'd give me gamecenter achievements. :P
Really? You are strange...
I really enjoy this game already and all of this sounds great. Bring it. :)
With this game's history all I can say is "yeah right believe it when I see it"
Freemium mode pleaase
Nah, why don't you just pay $3?
Support an indie developer and a great game!
No please! I like it as it is. Maybe payed addons if they, atleast, reached their KS-goals.
How about Gamecenter support? That should be an expected feature for a premium priced title. I bought the game in good faith that it would be added in one of the numerous planned updates. I hope it is...
