The Boomer Internet is Born – The TouchArcade Show #593

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show, Eli reveals what we’ve known was going to happen all along: He broke down and bought one of the new iPads. We talk more about the iPad and its future, and ponder on if all the “whimsy" moments in tech are now over. Remember when Steve Jobs pulled the first iPod Nano out of that tiny fifth pocket of his jeans? Or when he pulled the first iPad Air out of a manilla envelope? Is showmanship like that in tech dead, or even necessary anymore? We also dive into the crazy viral documentary from Jenny Nicholson about the failed Star Wars hotel, and finish things out with some listener emails which leads into some interesting topics.

Don’t forget to shoot us emails with any questions, feedback, or anything else relevant or irrelevant to [email protected]. We read ’em all, and love decoding messages written entirely in emoji. As always, you can listen to us with the links below… And if you like what you hear, please subscribe and/or drop us a review in iTunes. Much appreciated!

As a companion to this audio podcast, we also do a video version of the same show that is exclusive to Patreon which allows you to see us playing the games we’re talking about.
