Causa Creations just announced Songs of Travel, an interactive graphic novel, for iOS and Android release this year. Songs of Travel features the story of five migrants finding their place in the world. Each has their own tale covering identity, home, hopes, dreams, and more. Usually, a game announcement like this would be for Switch and Steam, and I’d be hoping said game comes to mobile because the genre is absolutely best on iPad. Good thing I don’t need to wait too long for that here. Watch the Songs of Travel trailer from Causa Creations below:
Causa Creations detailed the main characters featured in Songs of Travel. They are below:
- Hasan, who came to Austria at the age of 1, when his mother moved there from Istanbul, Turkey.
- Light, a non-binary Syrian refugee who arrives in Vienna after years of hardship and war in Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
- Michele, the son of Francesco Cicora, an Italian coal miner who died in the great mining disaster of Marcinelle 1956 in Belgium.
- Olya, a Ukrainian lawyer and a refugee who has had to flee twice: first when she left her home of Donetsk in 2014 and fled to Kyiv, and then when she fled from Ukraine once war erupted in 2022.
- Vân, the daughter of a Vietnamese contract worker who grew up in East-Germany and who must deal with the duality of being Vietnamese-German.
Barring the visuals which I like a lot, the music seems like another highlight so far. As of now, Songs of Travel is due this year for iOS and Android. A price point and definite release date are yet to be announced. I’m looking forward to checking this one out on iPad. Hopefully it isn’t a portrait-only game though. What do you think of it so far?
