Niantic and Capcom released their previously announced real world hunting action RPG Monster Hunter Now (Free) for iOS and Android worldwide earlier than expected. Monster Hunter Now was scheduled for a worldwide release on September 14th, but it is out now. I played a bit, and you need to either login through Google or Apple (or create an account with Apple as I did) to play. It recently crossed 3 million pre-registrations as well. Once you download it from the App Store and create an account, you can use a referral code someone else gives you to get some in-game rewards. Watch the Monster Hunter Now trailer below:
Monster Hunter Now is a free to play release using Niantic’s AR technology. If you’d like to play it, you can get Monster Hunter Now on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. The in app purchases include different sets of gems. As I said before, I love Monster Hunter and will play Monster Hunter Now this week on iOS to see if Monster Hunter flavor is enough to get me to regularly play a game like this. Capcom has been good about cross promotion with its own brands, so I’m interested to see if we get something in Sunbreak on PC and consoles to go alongside this release. Check out the official website here. What do you think of Monster Hunter Now and will you be playing it this week on iOS and Android?
