The most recent news for Wingspan following the release of the European Expansion has been that the Oceania Expansion is due soon on all platforms. Ahead of that release, Monster Couch has pushed out a major online-focused update for the game. Wingspan ($9.99), currently available on iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC platforms worldwide, has been updated to transfer the online service from the old provider to a new one. Monster Couch has done this to make sure the online works better for years. With this update, rolling out now on all platforms, prior Wingspan online games will be unavailable. You will also not be able to play online until you update with Karma being reset today.
If you’ve not played it yet, Wingspan is based on the original physical board game designed by Elizabeth Hargrave. Read my review of the iOS release of Wingspan here. The upcoming Wingspan Oceania Expansion has nearly 100 new birds from the Oceania region, the new food type: Nectar, a new alternative player board, new music, new challenges, and all the features of the base game. A price point for the Wingspan Oceania Expansion is yet to be announced. You can currently wishlist it on Steam here. Wingspan is currently priced at $9.99 on mobile and $19.99 on consoles and PC platforms. Check it out on Google Play for Android here and on the App Store for iOS here.
