Hello everyone, and welcome to the week! It’s time once again for our look back at the noteworthy updates of the last seven days. Christmas is later this week, so it’s basically all aboard that’s coming aboard for seasonal updates, I think. We’ll probably have some stragglers next week, though. Still, some interesting games in this week’s list, including new content for a game I never thought would ever see any. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on the things you might have missed. Let’s go for it!
🏕 Sneaky Sasquatch Update
Are the humans trusting you to prevent chaos? Oh what will Sasquatch do…

Sneaky Sasquatch, Lots of fun stuff to carry you through the holidays in Sneaky Sasquatch‘s latest update. There’s a new seaport area to the left of the town, and you can work three new jobs. Be a Forklift Driver, a Crane Operator, or a Security Guard. Search around to find the fox’s secret hideout and do a little shopping. Make use of three new tools: Night-Vision Goggles, Binoculars, and Sneaking Boots. Yes, now you can be an even Sneakier Sasquatch. No one thought it was possible, but the folks at RAC7 are masters of the impossible.
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, Okay, yes, a demon castle is an unlikely place to find Christmas cheer. But Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is going to do its best anyway. A new grimoire has been added, and you can meet a new hero and use them as an Alter Art. Some level caps have been raised so you can keep on doing your grinding thing. There’s also a Winter Holiday event with login rewards and special orders you can clear to get new equipment, season-appropriate outfits, and more. There are a bunch of other additions, changes, and fixes, so be sure to check in on the game if you haven’t in a while.
PAC-MAN, Free Pac-Man was, like, just here last week with its previous update. Now we’ve got a whole other one to deal with. I guess the Sanrio characters weren’t sufficiently Christmas-ish, so now we’ve got a proper Christmas Adventure to play. It’s the usual business, however. You get some custom themed mazes, some collectible cards, and a nifty holiday skin. You’ll have to play through the event to have a hope of touching any of that, of course.
Subway Surfers, Free Subway Surfers is always up for some holiday hijinks, and it sure as heck isn’t going to miss Christmas. To celebrate the season, the kids have headed to the North Pole of all places. I do hope they dress for the weather. The new Surfer is named Clementine and I’m told she’s a serious reindeer enthusiast. Those exist! Seriously, she’s dressed up as much like a reindeer as she can be without going all-in on a costume. There’s a new board called the Gingerboom Board, and Space Bot gets a new Gingerbot outfit. Dash through the snow and deliver presents while an imposter Santa nips at your heels, and you might get some nice presents of your own.
Injustice 2, Free Even Injustice 2 is getting in on the season in its own way. There’s a new legendary character in the form of Mr. Freeze. The traditional style, not the pun-dog Schwarzenegger version. Unfortunately. There’s a new Solo Raid event called On Ice that follows Mr. Freeze’s story and rewards you with a chance at a 3-Star Mr. Freeze as a completion prize. There are new Cryo Artifacts to collect which will apparently help you take down this frosty villain, with some handy Polar Slippers allowing you to shrug off his Freeze effect. That’s an ice update, and one I cannot give the cold shoulder to.
Mortal Kombat, Free It isn’t always the case that when Injustice 2 updates, Mortal Kombat also does. But it is the case this time. It doesn’t really try to do anything holiday-like, though. MK11 Sindel joins the roster, bringing with her the new Dark Queen’s Tower to battle through. Fight your way to the top and you’ll get yourself a nice Diamond character, with a possibility of getting MK11 Rain. You’ll also earn some special equipment as you go. This update also brings new Brutalities to the Diamond variants of Mileena and Jax, which can be unlocked with the aforementioned equipment. There are some other improvements here, largely with the overall UI. And yes, bug fixes. There are always bug fixes, even if Shaun doesn’t say there are.
Game Dev Story+, We are probably never getting Game Dev Story 2 on iOS, friends. It’s something we all have to learn to accept and deal with. But sometimes a little treat falls from the heavens, and that’s how I choose to interpret this out-of-nowhere update exclusive to the Apple Arcade version of the game. You can use new themes to decorate your office, drawn from Cat Cafe, Dungeon Village, and others. There are apparently more than twenty types to choose from. There’s also a new World Net ranking system so you can compete for scores with other players. Can you sell more games than anyone else? That’s a fun little extra challenge.
Disney Magic Kingdoms, Free I would have also expected a holiday-themed event for this game, but instead we’re getting a big Pinocchio event. That’s fine, I reckon. There are several new characters: Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Geppetto, Figaro, Blue Fairy, Honest John, and Stromboli. There are also a handful of new Attractions drawn from the movie, and some new Concessions too. Finally, there’s a new Pinocchio Parade Float. This event has no strings to hold it down! That’s terrible. I’ll lock myself in a broom closet and beat myself with a mop for six minutes as penance.
MARVEL Future Revolution, Free Apparently, there’s a new Spider-Man movie out? I wouldn’t know. But mobile games always know, my friends. They always know. And indeed, Marvel Future Revolution has some new stuff inspired by Spider-Man: No Way Home. There’s a new Event Dungeon based on the Sinister Six, a new costume drawn from the film, and some new Companions. Moving beyond the film, Magik is now a playable character and there are some new Training Grounds to stomp about in. A few other little improvements have been made here and there, and some non-spider bugs have been squashed.
MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG, Free You might think the latest update for a Marvel game would be all about the new movie, but Strike Force settles for diving into Spider-Man in general instead. There are five new playable characters: Scarlet Spider, Spider-Punk, Ghost-Spider, Star-Lord T’Challa, and Magik. Wow, lots of Spiders there. A bunch of characters including Spider-Man and Miles have gotten ability and stat improvements, and there are new costumes for several characters. This is where the No Way Home tie-in comes in, as Spidey gets one of his movie costumes. So yes, I’m playing things straight for once and giving this the UMMSotW award.
That about wraps it up for last week’s significant updates. I’m sure I’ve missed some, though, so please feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely get their own news stories throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. Have a great week!
