TouchArcade Rating:

Following Niantic’s Halloween event in Pokemon GO (Free), it is time to celebrate next week’s Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl release on Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl both release on November 19th worldwide, and Pokemon GO begins a celebration event from November 16th until November 21st. There will be bonuses throughout that period and two individual sets of special events to celebrate both games. The full event bonuses include 1/2 Incubator distance and 1/3 Super Incubator distance with various costumed Pokemon including Turtwig wearing Lucas’ hat, Piplup wearing Dawn’s hat, and much more. You may also encounter a Shiny variant. There will also be a collection challenge letting you collect all the costumed Pokemon in this event to earn 1000 XP and 3000 Stardust. New avatar items, stickers, and bundles will also be available for the duration of this event.

For the two events during this big celebration, the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond event will go on from November 16th to November 18th as an homage to Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup wearing red Sinnoh hats with the same Pokemon wearing White Sinnoh hats available as Field Research encounters. For the Pokemon Shining Pearl event going live from November 18th until November 21st, the hat colors will be reversed. Details for all the raids and field research task encounters are here. It is going to be interesting to see what Pokemon GO gets when the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus is near for cross promotion. Head over to our forum thread for more discussion around Pokémon GO. It is available for free on iOS and Android. What do you think of the state of Pokemon GO in 2021?
