Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for September 10th, 2021. There ended up being a lot more games to cover today than I was expecting, and the list of new sales is nothing to sneeze at either. The result is a fairly big-pants article filled with summaries and amazing ways to spend your money on things you may or may not need. Let us proceed with the tantalizing temptations!
New Releases
WarioWare: Get It Together! ($49.99)
SwitchArcade Highlight!
Wah-ha-ha! Wario is back! You thought he was gone for good, but you can’t keep a bad guy down. There are a whole bunch of new microgames to play, along with some twists on old favorites. The biggest gimmick this time around is that you can play with others, helping or hindering each other as you try to complete the microgames. Up to four players can join in, but you can have plenty of fun by yourself if you want to. Will I review this? Maybe, if I have time. But really, you probably know what to expect if you’ve played one of these before.
NBA 2K22 ($59.99)
SwitchArcade Highlight!
Sorry about that “screenshot", but 2K Games always feels like it is too good to put proper pictures of these NBA games up. Anyway, it’s the new NBA 2K game. It has some new features! A lot of people will dislike it! Many of them will buy it anyway! What can you do? They’re the only game in town. Keep lots of space on your memory card for this one, it requires well over 40 GB.
Lost in Random ($29.99)
SwitchArcade Highlight!
This looks pretty fancy. Electronic Arts release right out of nowhere, though developed by the studio formerly known as Zoink. I think they are part of Thunderful now. Anyway, this is an action-adventure game about a down-on-her-luck girl named Even who embarks on a quest to save her sister with the help of a weird die named Dicey. The story for the game was written by Ryan North, so that already makes it awesome. I don’t even need to play through the whole thing. If Ryan’s in, so am I.
Momolu and Friends ($9.99)
An educational mini-game collection for kids starring a cartoon panda and its pals. It teaches young children about the alphabet, colors, and numbers with mini-games like memory matching and jigsaw puzzles. Seems a bit better quality than the usual thing like this, so you may want to look at it if you have any age-appropriate tots.
Knights & Guns ($14.99)
Sure, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Anyway, you’ve got knights with guns. They can only shoot up for whatever reason, but that’s okay because that is where the enemies are. There are more than 150 stages to play, with lots of firepower and enemy types to experience. You can pull in a buddy for some local multiplayer if you want to double ye olde blasting pleasure. It seems pretty fun.
LoveChoice ($4.99)
This game consists of three short choice-based love stories, each of which has multiple endings based on your selections. It looks very fluffy, though it can often be very real in how things unfold. Just be aware that when it says short, it means short.
Lovekami -Healing Harem- ($14.99)
This is the newest in this line of visual novels about trying to romance goddesses. Akira Minase inherits a shrine with a somewhat troublesome goddess who insists on marrying him after he helps her out. A moderate issue, taken on its own. But Akira also has other goddesses chasing him as a marriage candidate, which means things are probably going to get worse before they get better. Make choices, get to know the goddesses, and see where the story goes.
Wild Pinball Bundle ($8.99)
Jurassic Pinball, Shark Pinball, and Safari Pinball all in a handy bundle that costs $0.02 more than buying them separately. It will probably be on sale often. I don’t think these pinball games are very good, but you might feel differently.
Ball Physics Draw Puzzles ($3.49)
Benjamin Kistler’s latest probable template flip is a puzzle game where you need to draw lines to guide the ball to the goal, grabbing the stars along the way. Handheld mode only, 100 levels, looks like something an elementary school student whipped up. Who knows, maybe it is?
Puzzle Car ($3.99)
This seems an awful lot like the Puzzletronics game from this publisher that hit a week or two ago. Instead of trying to complete a circuit and light some lamps, you need to swap the pieces to sort the roads so the car can reach its destination. I’m sure like that other game, this will give you an evening or two of low-impact puzzle entertainment.
Puzzle & Chess ($1.00)
This is a very simple and cheap chess puzzle game. If you like chess puzzles, this is only a dollar. It feels like it would be very hard to not get a buck’s worth out of it as long as you like chess puzzles.

Now that is a full list. Very full. Lot of sap. Ubisoft sales, WB Games sales, Bandai Namco sales, and many more. Hey, 9th Dawn III is on sale too. That is one mighty fine game. I recommend it. If you’re up for a comedy game, Gunma’s Ambition is down to a super-low $1.99 and offers at least that much entertainment. Nothing too serious in the weekend outbox, luckily. Nevertheless, I recommend that you cast your eyes upon both of these lists and despair. Or buy some stuff. Your call.
