‘RuneScape’ Finally Launching on iOS and Android this June, Pre-Orders with Rewards Available Now

This year marks the 20th anniversary of RuneScape, an MMORPG that originally launched way back in 2001 and is still going strong today, a truly incredible feat. Back in July of 2017 the game’s developer Jagex announced that the world of RuneScape would be heading to mobile devices in the future. This became a reality when they launched their appropriately-titled old-school version of the game, Old School RuneScape, on mobile devices back in the fall of 2018. It offered the full experience of Old School RuneScape on a mobile device with very little technical compromise and cross-platform progression so you could essentially get your MMO on anywhere in the world. Now Jagex is finally ready to launch the “full fat" version of RuneScape on iOS and Android devices this summer. They have released a brand new trailer to mark the occasion.

As the trailer says, RuneScape for mobile is available for pre-order right now, and there are some exclusive rewards players can unlock if enough people pre-order and pre-register for the game. You can pre-order the iOS version on the App Store here, and pre-register for the Android version on the Google Play Store here, and keep track of what rewards have been unlocked over on the game’s official website. As of right now nothing has been unlocked but, well, this whole thing just started today, so don’t let that discourage you. There’s an expected release date of June 17th on the iOS App Store page, but so far Jagex has only said the game will be launching “this summer" so it’s possible the date could move around a little. Whatever the case, RuneScape with all its cross-platform progression syncing glory is on it way to mobile devices VERY soon, so get to pre-registering and pre-ordering to unlock some of those goodies.
