This past November developer Supercolony kicked off a closed beta test on Android for their upcoming cat-based dungeon crawler Catopia: Rush, and after nearly 30k players took part in the testing they are now ready to move onto the next phase of the game’s development. That’s right, it’s soft launch time for Catopia: Rush, with the game now being available on Android in more than 150 countries with a full global launch that includes Android and iOS announced for June 2nd.
To refresh your memory, Catopia: Rush is an action RPG built from the ground up for mobile and specifically for one-handed portrait-oriented play. You’ll control one of five different Hero Cats alongside a team of three other allies as you take part in MOBA-inspired combat. There’s a huge roster of cat combatants that each have unique abilities and you’ll be able to mix and match different characters to try out various strategies against your enemies. Of course there’s also a full suite of upgrades and collectibles to constantly give you new progression goals to achieve.

Since the closed beta test last fall, Supercolony has added a bunch of new elements to Catopia: Rush. These include new special moves for the five Hero Cats, special stages where players can earn specific resources, a new scoring system with competitive leaderboards, and more. In addition ten different languages will be supported in the soft launch, which are English, Indonesian, Italian, Malay, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese, with more languages coming with the global launch in June.
For those who can’t get enough of the adorable Catopia universe, Supercolony has you more than covered. You can check out a new webcomic called Catopia University that acts as a bit of a prequel to the game over on Webtoon or Tapas, or you can get social with Catopia: Rush on its official Facebook page, Twitter account, Instagram account, and Discord chat. And of course you can find even more information and details on the Supercolony website. If you happen to reside in one of those 150+ soft launch countries, you can check out Catopia: Rush for yourself on the Google Play Store here. For the rest of us look for the global launch on June 2nd.
