‘Sky: Children of the Light’ Tries to Reduce the Grind and Make the Game More Social with Today’s Update Bringing in Daily Light, the Days of Bloom Event, and More

TouchArcade Rating:

Sky: Children of the Light (Free) from thatgamecompany just got a very interesting update today. Instead of an update adding in support for an upcoming season with a few more fixes and changes, Sky: Children of the Light version 0.13.0 that just released on iOS and Android added in a new in-game system called Daily Light that encourages players to be more social by reducing a part of the daily grind for Light.

The Daily Light system lets players force candles quickly with less Light than players are used to using and this slowly changes over the day. With every five candles forged, the chevrons reduces by one. This change was made to allow players to spend more time with friends by spending less time initially on candles and Light. You can watch a video detailing Daily Light in Sky: Children of the Light below:

Sky: Children of the Light 0.13.0 brings in the Days of Bloom holiday event that celebrates Spring with petal-themed items and scenery. This event ends on April 4th and it includes the ability to purchase a new hairstyle and cape alongside a Teaset that includes 35 candles through an in app purchase. Pre-orders for the Season of Assembly in Sky: Children of the Light begin later today as well with many parts of the Hidden Forest changing for the season. The update also brings in a new inbox feature that will be expanded over time. Detailed patch notes for Sky: Children of the Light 0.13.0 are here.

Sky: Children of the Light is now available for free on iOS and Android. Check it out on Android on Google Play here and for iOS on the App Store here.
