I‘m 10 hours in, solved quite a lot of things and bonded with other players, now there are some tough but excellent riddles coming up. No need for iAP so far and I see none. Seems like iAP is just speeding up your character progress. The exploration aspect is fantastic and it feels awesome when another player appears, takes your hand and leads you to some secrets or new areas you weren‘t aware of. Was afraid only of the paying aspects. If they are not intrusive, I probably going to buy some later to support the devs. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #15 L.Lawliet, Jul 19, 2019 It's too bad this thread isn't getting much traction but I played the game for a bit and it is possibly one of the most beautiful games I've played on iOS. HelperMonkey Well-Known Member Dec 16, 2009 632 8 18 Iowa #17 HelperMonkey, Jul 20, 2019 Agreed on most impressions. Beautiful game, and a really interesting experience. I’m mostly just enjoying exploring with a sense of wonder. The controls sometimes feel fine, and sometimes they feel like they’re fighting against me. I’m not sure if I’m doing it all right. I did just discover the options menu if you tap the corner of the screen, and I might try the two-handed controls. It might feel more familiar. I see absolutely no reason to pay money here, and no pressure to do so. Lots of cosmetic and social kinds of add-ons that are purely optional. There is a kind of season pass, but I’m not sure what the appeal would be. Definitely a game I would recommend for everyone to try. Even if you don’t get into it, it’s a notable and impressive production for iOS. Mycroft likes this. Increasing the visuals and altering the control method is a great improvement. Overall I think the game is a thumbs up but I do have a couple criticisms. The first is that a player should never have to “discover” an options menu. To me that’s minimalism gone berserk. My second is that certain social controls should be openly explained. I just finished a session where I had hold of a friends hand, I was the one leading the group, and couldn’t figure out how to break the grip. I just wanted to goof around for a short session and explore but got pissed that I was unable to since I had the social pressure of moving forward to not ruin their time. Eventually I just selected home from the newly discovered option menu to break hands. ...great experience for the most part but artists shouldn’t design UI. Dankrio Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Jun 3, 2014 1,740 13 38 #19 Dankrio, Jul 20, 2019 The “social” aspect and mandatory online is dealbreaker for me, even if I find the game an artwork, gorgeous and very fun on the limited time that I have played it. I don’t like to impact other player experiences and don’t like that those have any impact on mine, since I sense the urge to play when that occurs. I prefer to play games on my own pace and that the world doesn’t evolve around me when I am not there (as it forces me to play in some way). psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #20 psj3809, Jul 20, 2019 I’m enjoying this so darn.
