New ‘Pokemon Home’ Update out Now with Quality of Life Improvements, Nintendo Switch Linked Search, and More

TouchArcade Rating:

The Pokemon 25th anniversary celebrations begin later this month on Pokemon Day with a lot of announcements planned across the franchise. Ahead of the announcements and anniversary celebrations, The Pokemon Company has updated Pokemon Home (Free) for iOS and Android with some overdue quality of life improvements and fixes. The Wonder Box now includes a “Receive All Pokemon" feature and the date a Pokemon was first met is now displayed in the Trainer notes. While searching for Pokemon, you can specify Language and Poke Ball and also arrange your list in the same order as the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Home (once you have linked the mobile version to the Nintendo Switch version). Searching also now lets you find a Pokemon from the OT (Original Trainer) field in a Pokemon’s detailed information. Watch the Pokemon Day Virtual Concert trailer below:

It is going to be interesting to see what Pokemon Home gets this year with rumoured Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes alongside the upcoming New Pokemon Snap for Nintendo Switch. If you’ve not downloaded it yet, Pokemon Home is available for free on the App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android, and the eShop for Nintendo Switch. Details for the paid plans are available here. Check out the official Pokemon Home website here. Did you play and enjoy Pokemon Sword & Shield‘s DLC expansions on Nintendo Switch or were you waiting for the new bundle pack with the game and all DLC together?
