The recent Kickstarter success story Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ($9.99) from ArtPlay was confirmed for iOS and Android last month. The mobile version is being published by NetEase. If you’ve not played it yet on any other platform, read Shaun’s review of the Switch version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night here. It delivered what many wanted from Castlevania and has an excellent soundtrack. Today, NetEase confirmed (via Gematsu) a December release date for the iOS and Android versions of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The iOS pre-order link was first spotted by metalcasket in our forums and it still looks like a placeholder with an Unreal Engine icon. The official NetEase announcement confirms the iOS and Android pre-order and pre-registration links. Hopefully the App Store page gets updated with more information and a proper icon soon. Watch a trailer for the mobile version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night below:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on mobile has optimised controls for touchscreens with changes to the interface and a new achievement system. This release includes all console DLC as well right from the get go. I can’t wait to see how this runs and looks compared to the Nintendo Switch and PS4 versions. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night releases on December 4th in most parts of the world. It is priced at $9.99. You can pre-order it on the App Store for iOS here and pre-register on Google Play for Android here. NetEase has not announced if it will eventually be released in countries that aren’t supported yet. As of now, it is officially set for release in North America, Europe, Japan, Korea, SEA, and South America. It is also available in Australia for pre-order on the App Store. Check out some screenshots from the port on the official website here. Did you play the original release on consoles or PC yet?
