‘Hearthstone’ Patch 18.6 Is Now Live with Support for the New Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Expansion, Hearthstone Duels, New Progression Details, and More

Blizzard have been hyping up the Hearthstone (Free) Fall Reveal for a little while now and the announcements were pretty great across the board. While most probably expected just a new expansion and updates for Battlegrounds, Blizzard revealed a new expansion, Hearthstone Duels, the new progression system, and patch 18.6. Hearthstone patch 18.6 is out now worldwide and it adds support for the upcoming modes and expansion. It also brings Battlegrounds Parties adjustments and balance changes for Battlegrounds. Once the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion launches, the Arena will include cards from Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, Scholomance Academy, Demon Hunter Initiate, Ashes of Outland, Galakrond’s Awakening, Whispers of the Old Gods, Basic, and Classic sets. Madness at the Darkmoon Faire is the new expansion launching worldwide on November 17th with 135 new cards. This expansion brings back the old golds with new mechanics, the corrupt keyword, support for Hearthstone Duels, the progression system revamp, phase 3 of the Year of the Phoenix, and more. Pre-purchase for the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion is available in two bundles in-game. The Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Mega Bundle includes early access to Hearthstone Duels, 80 card packs for the expansion, 5 Golden Madness at the Darkmoon Faire packs, one random golden legendary from the expansion, the N’Zoth Warlock Hero, the N’Zoth card back, and Battlegrounds perks. The Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Bundle includes Hearthstone Duels early access, 45 card packs, one random Madness at the Darkmoon Faire legendary card, and the N’Zoth card back. Hearthstone‘s new progression system includes an achievements system that tracks in-game activity with a new reward track for everything non-ranked. Changes to Quests allow for supporting daily and weekly quests and there will be a new profile page with ranks, stats, player info, and more. Screenshots for this system are here. Hearthstone‘s new game mode is Hearthstone Duels. Hearthstone Duels is a new competitive mode changing each season. You need to build a 15 card starter deck before taking on opponents in dungeon run style experience with additions and enhancements after each match. Hearthstone Duels will be available in early access to all players from November 12th. Everyone who gets the new expansion gets early access to Hearthstone Duels now. Hearthstone Duels Season One begins on November 17th on all platforms.
