Call of Duty: Mobile (Free) from Activision has been doing great on mobile ever since it launched a while ago on iOS and Android. It has received loads of new content, modes, and updates since launch and continues to be very polished experience. A now deleted Activision job listing spotted by Charlie INTEL was looking for an Executive Producer, Features for WZM. A lot of the job description involved translating Call of Duty: Warzone‘s essential features into mobile, proposing mobile-specific additions and changes, and more. Call of Duty: Warzone debuted earlier this year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a massively popular battle royale experience. Watch the trailer for the console version below:
Activision treats Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a platform now with Call of Duty: Warzone being accessible from within it and also standalone. If Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to mobile soon, I expect it to be a part of Call of Duty: Mobile as the battle royale component going forward as Activision looks to leverage its strong Call of Duty: Warzone brand on mobile as well despite Call of Duty: Mobile already being so popular. If they are bringing it over standalone, I can’t imagine the company will have two games on mobile offering battle royale. It is possible Activision wants to try making Call of Duty: Mobile a platform and bring a version of Warzone and do some other content that coincides with this year’s Call of Duty game. Hopefully we learn what the company’s plans are for Call of Duty: Warzone on mobile soon.
Until any more news about this gets revealed, Call of Duty: Mobile is no doubt going to see some growth with Fortnite not available on iOS anymore. If you’ve not played Call of Duty: Mobile yet, you can download it for free on the App Store here and Google Play here. Have you been playing the game with controllers or touch only on iOS and Android and do you play Call of Duty: Warzone?
