Juicy Realm is a colorful and quirky rogue-lite dual-stick shooter from developer SpaceCan and publisher XD Network that originally launched on desktop back in 2018 and made its way to the Nintendo Switch last fall. It garnered acclaim on those platforms for the aforementioned quirkiness (you’re battling mutated fruit!) and excellent art style, but also for its variety of playable characters and sheer amount of crazy weapons and loot. It’s just the sort of game that seems like it would be a perfect fit on mobile, and so it is good news that today the developers have announced a forthcoming mobile version. Juicy Realm will be heading to iOS and Android on May 4th. Here is the trailer for the mobile version.

In addition to the 9 playable characters that have been featured in versions of the game on other platforms, the mobile version of Juicy Realm will include an additional playable character for a total of 10. This character is locked initially and according to the developers you’ll need to “face some quality challenge" in order to unlock her. That might involve beating the game’s Story mode, or perhaps the dedicated Boss Rush mode, or perhaps the unlockable Challenge mode which allows you to set up various modifiers to tailor the game to your liking. We’ll just have to wait to find out. If you’re planning on playing on iOS, you’ll be able to pre-order Juicy Realm on the App Store at a discounted price, but at the time of publishing that link isn’t available just yet. We’ll update the post with the link once it’s available, otherwise look for it to hit both major mobile app stores on May 4th.
