‘Dead Cells’ From Motion Twin and Playdigious Has Just Been Updated to Be Fully Ready for PS4 and Xbox One Controllers on iOS 13

TouchArcade Rating:

Motion Twin announced an iOS port of the critically acclaimed Dead Cells ($8.99) a while ago and finally brought it to the App Store as a proper premium port built for mobile devices. The port was done by the lovely folks at Playdigious and after an initial delay, it finally arrived and is a damn fine port as expected from Playdigious. Today, the 1.05 update has arrived bringing iOS 13 support to the game. Watch the trailer for Dead Cells below:

Dead Cells is one of the highest rated indie games in recent years and I finally got into it through the mobile port. I’ve already played more on iPhone than I have on both PC and Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t played it before or want to know how the iOS port is, read our review of it here. We featured it as our Game of the Week as well when it released. Today’s update fixes some UI issues on iPhone X regarding the home bar and brings support for PS4 and Xbox One controllers on iOS 13 devices. You can now buy it on the App Store if you haven’t and were waiting on iOS 13 support. Dead Cells costs $24.99 on other platforms so this is a nice discount. Have you played Dead Cells yet?
