Recently, Capcom had various streamers show off an upcoming card game featuring Capcom characters. When it was showcased, no one knew what it would be called or when it would release. Today, Capcom and GungHo Online Entertainment have released TEPPEN (Free) for iOS and Android for free. It is currently not available worldwide but is likely rolling out. Watch the trailer for TEPPEN below:
TEPPEN has you playing cards in real time against opponents with great visuals. The game isn’t available for me right now but what I’ve seen so far has been very nice at least visually. I love some of the character designs and models for TEPPEN. Right now, it features characters from Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, and more. The story sees 8 Capcom characters come together to battle in the Land of Illusion. It features solo play which lets you play each story, ranked matches, grand prix versus, and more. Of the revealed designs so far, Chun Li, Dante, and Morrigan are the highlights for sure.
If you want to check TEPPEN out, you can download it (assuming it has released in your region) on the App Store for iOS here and Google Play for Android here. It has released in USA and some parts of Europe right now. TEPPEN is free to play with in app purchases as you’d expect. It feels weird having a major publisher put out a card game with high quality artwork with almost no promotion or marketing barring a reveal where no one knew the name of the game. What do you want from a Capcom card game?
