Airship Syndicate’s Battle Chasers: Nightwar had my attention when it debuted on PS4 and Xbox One for the art and music that complemented the turn based gameplay. The RPG was great on PC and consoles but really was perfect for the Switch with portable gameplay suiting the combat well. I enjoyed my time with it on Switch but it needed a bit of polish when it debuted. Today, a mobile port has been announced for both iOS and Android. Watch the teaser below:
Battle Chasers: Nightwar sees you follow Gully who is looking for father in a world full of dangerous enemies and loads of secrets. Combat is turn based like old school JRPGs. Joe Madureira’s art is definitely a highlight here as well. There will be multiple difficulty options as well. I hope they somehow tweak the balance for the mobile release because it got pretty grindy when I played it on Switch. Check out a screenshot of the game with its mobile UI below:
If you’re interested in checking it out on mobile and hate free to play games, don’t worry. Battle Chasers: Nightwar will be a full premium release for $9.99 when it releases this Summer on iOS and Android. There will be no in app purchases. Have you played it before on any other platform or are you going to go in fresh when Battle Chasers: Nightwar debuts on iOS and Android this year?
