As we’ve mentioned in the past, solo developer Luke Schneider aka Radiangames has returned to active development after taking a hiatus from making mobile games. This began with the release of the excellent and surprisingly inventive matching game Pivotol ($1.99) just under a month ago, and will continue with the release of the long-awaited sequel Slydris 2 later tonight/tomorrow. Well to celebrate this latest release, Radiangames is doing something they’ve never done before, and that is making their ENTIRE catalog of existing games free, some of them for the first time ever. In case you aren’t familiar, Radiangames specializes in both puzzle games and amazing dual-stick shooters, so if you enjoy either of those types of games or even THINK you might, now is the time to give them a go. It’s not everyday you get the chance to download ten premium games totally for free, so don’t hesitate to try out any or all of the Radiangames catalog during this special promotion. They’re all free from right now until this Sunday, so you definitely have some time to snap them up. Also, you don’t see Pivotol on this list because it’s already a free to play game, as is the forthcoming Slydris 2, which you can still pre-order right now ahead of its scheduled launch tomorrow. Sadly, trying to stay the premium game course is what led to Radiangames having to take a break from mobile development, but these new free to play titles are done in an incredibly fair way so hopefully this change in monetization will allow this fantastic developer to continue making games for a long time to come.
Radiangames is easily my favorite iOS developer (and originally my favorite Xbox Live Indie Games developer)! I have already owned all these games, so this sale is not useful for me, but I’m hoping this gets him on peoples’ radar and makes Slydris 2 a success. I already have it pre-ordered, and have been counting down the days to its release.
