‘Pedal UP!’ is a Realistic Take on Bike Trials Games Coming to iOS and Android

The bike trials games popularized by RedLynx’s titular Trials series are all sorts of fun, but they’re also pretty far out of the bounds of reality. I mean, I love doing quadruple backflips on a motorcycle down a 500 foot drop inside a warehouse that’s on fire while explosions are happening all around as much as the next guy, but I also wonder what a more realistic take on the trials genre might look like. And now I don’t have to wonder anymore as Canadian developer Derailleur Interactive is crafting just that with their upcoming game Pedal UP! Based on real-world bike trials (bike, not motorcycle) Pedal UP! is being developed in conjunction with North American trials champ Jeff Anderson and you can tell the air of authenticity that adds to the game.

I’ve seen those competitions on TV before and I’m always amazed the crazy things people like Jeff are able to make their mountain bikes do. Pedal UP! will feature 40 different tracks as well as a Classic Time Trial Mode, Tricks Challenge mode, Extreme Challenge mode, and more. Plus you’ll be able to compete on online leaderboards and a cool sounding Camera Mode will allow you to capture all your spectacular stunts as well as the spectacular failures. Pedal UP! is shooting for release in late 2018 or early 2019 on iOS with an Android release to follow and we’ll definitely be keeping our eye on its development.
