It Looks Like the Walking Dead: The Final Season Will Be Completed After All by Skybound Games and the Original Developers

The last few weeks have not been great for Telltale Games. They first laid off most of the staff without warning and was left with a skeleton crew to complete pending projects. The situation became worse when most of the skeleton crew was also reportedly let go with only a few people left at the company. Here’s a post from the co-founder of Telltale who left a year ago commenting on the situation:

Over the weekend, Skybound Gamqes, most known for Slime Rancher and The Long Dark, announced that they had reached a deal with Telltale Games to finish the remaining episodes of The Walking Dead: The final Season. The game has already been pulled from console storefronts where it was available digitally. It remains to be seen when the remaining episodes will be dated. The last two episodes were dated earlier but they will likely be pushed so that Skybound can work with the original developers. Variety reports that Skybound will work with the original developers to make for the best possible outcome of the situation. Nothing has been finalized yet.

While The Walking Dead: The final Season has still not been confirmed for mobile, hopefully Skybound Games manages to work on porting it so fans who played all the other seasons and episodes on iOS and Android will be able to conclude Clementine’s story without having to resort to using another platform.
