We’re once again hiring here at TouchArcade! First off, if you got linked this job posting from somewhere else and don’t know what TouchArcade is, here’s an ultra-brief rundown: We’re the largest and oldest iOS games site on the internet, having been online and constantly posting about the latest and greatest in mobile gaming for over ten years now as of last March. The company is technically based in Virginia, but we all work online from all over the world. (I’ve been with the company over nine years now and have never even seen our physical office.) We put a ton of emphasis on having a awesome company culture, with the vast majority of our internal communication done over Discord, iMessage, and email. Basically, mobile games are a ton of fun, and we believe working for a company that focuses on them should be super fun as well.
TouchArcade is the source for mobile gamers to both discover new titles to play, as well as both learn about upcoming games they might be interested in, updates to existing favorites, and tons more. We have a popular podcast, an active Discord community, and forums which are considered by mobile developers to be the best place to go to speak directly to an highly engaged audience of mobile gamers looking for something new and cool to try. TouchArcade not only has a large audience, but also an influential one as well- With people from Apple’s App Store teams, mobile publishers, developers, and many other major players in the mobile gaming scene visiting daily.
What we’re looking for:
As an ad sales associate with TouchArcade, you will be responsible for lead generation to sell both display advertising as well as other similar promotional projects on TouchArcade. You will work directly with our ad sales manager, Marianne, to convert those leads into campaigns run on the site. This is a new position we’re creating at the company, so the role is fairly broad and will likely evolve more over time. Compensation is commission based with competitive rates.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate would already be familiar with the mobile game industry and either have existing contacts, or are willing to find new contacts inside of it with game developers, publishers, developer services companies, and anyone else who would benefit via promoting their game, product, or service to the broad TouchArcade audience. Since we work online, you need to be a self starter who is capable of meeting goals with their own drive for success. We don’t mind if you have an existing day job or other primary project provided you still have enough time to have brief weekly check-ins during the American business day. Beyond that, your location is largely irrelevant, as long as you’re OK with being paid in US dollars.
Requirements for application:
If this position sounds like something that would exciting to you, please send an email to [email protected] with a unique cover letter and your current resume. We will reach out in a few days if there is a good fit.
