Welcome to the SwitchArcade Roundup for June 1st! And I’m so glad, because there are no new eShop releases today. After an incredibly busy week, I’m glad that hey, at least now we get a day off. There is the Mario Tennis Aces online tournament demo that goes live today, so we do have something new to play, but at least that’s a demo! I feel like the Switch is causing me to lose my mind in trying to keep track of it, because there are so many games happening on the system. Like, so many games are releasing, getting announced, going on sale…a slow day is just a harbinger that tomorrow will be a busy one. It’s a glorious time to be a Switch owner, that’s for sure.

South Korean ratings board lists Fortnite for Switch
As if it didn’t seem obvious already, recent leaks seemed to indicate that Fortnite was coming to Switch soon. And with Kotaku posting about the leaks, that seems like a good sign that “hey, these should probably be taken seriously" as opposed to someone with good Photoshop skills. And now, the South Korean game age rating board has a rating for a Switch version of Fortnite. So that pretty much confirms the The question is whether it will contain Save the World or not?
What is Killer Queen Black?
As far as the E3 leaks seem to go, Fortnite will obviously be big for the Switch. But don’t sleep on whatever Killer Queen Black will be. Killer Queen is a great arcade game that takes place across two machines with five players on each, with each side fighting in Joust-style action, competing to either collect enough berries to win, killing the other team’s queen three times, or riding the snail at the bottom of the screen to victory. It’s been a tough-to-access experience until now, though, because it’s only existed as arcade machines. Yes, in this millennium, an indie game released as arcade machines. I’m curious to see what the Black portion means, but this might be really cool on the Switch. Get a bunch of people huddled around two Switches and watch folks go to town, hmm?
Pokemon: Let’s Go games will have online play
A Famitsu report indicates that Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee will have online play, complete with battling and trading Pokemon, but don’t expect some of the more advanced features from the 3DS games. It’s quite possible many people will be getting back into Pokemon with this game, so it might be a great stepping stone title before next year reintroduces all the depth that later Pokemon games added. They’ve come a long way since the Kanto games, and I’d probably shrivel up in fear from trying to get into all the new features right away.
Also, speaking of leaks, shoutout to the guy who leaked these Pokemon games on 4chan…on April Fool’s Day.

Chameleon Run coming to Switch
The fun color-flipping runner from Hyperbolic Magnetism is coming to the Switch on June 14th for $5.99. The plan is for the game to have six new Switch-exclusive levels and a fourth objective in each level to play through, to differentiate it from its mobile release. The mobile version was quite fun, so definitely keep this one in mind.
Now, what we need is Beat Saber from the same developer. Yes, it’s a VR title, but those Joy-Cons would work really well for the game…
