Disc Drivin’ 2 from Pixelocity Software launches on the App Store on February 1st and we had a big post on what to expect in it. You can read that here. Disc Drivin’ ($2.99) is something many people have played for a long time. Nearly 8 years since launching on the App Store, the sequel will be flying into the App Store in a few days.
Disc Drivin’ 2 adds a lot to make the experience more dynamic. Of course multiplayer makes a return and you can play locally, on a single screen, or even by passing and playing. The biggest change however is the fact that players will now do two swipes per turn. This can save you when your disc is about to fly off. Tracks will also have smoother curves and elevation making things even better.
I’m glad there’s going to be a new solo or single player mode and it is called Speedrun. This mode has you try to complete three laps in a single course to unlock cards. These cards will upgrade abilities, unlock new skills, and even new discs. Disc Drivin’ 2 flies onto the App Store on February 1st and it will be free to play. This isn’t a big shock given the times we live in and you can pre-order it now on the App Store. If you aren’t aware of pre-ordering, clicking the link will launch the iOS 11 App Store and let you add the game to your account now and it will automatically download on release. Until it is out, you can read Jared’s review of the original here and check out the forum thread for Disc Drivin’ 2 here.
