Subway Surfers (Free), one of the most popular games in the history of mobile gaming and one of the most downloaded games even today, is on its way to becoming an animated series, and now we have the first teaser. The teaser shows off the locations where the story will take place and, of course, the infamous trains, which are such a big part of the game’s identity. We even get a glimpse of the series’ protagonist, Jake, who everyone who’s played the game (or even looked at the game’s icon) is familiar with. I like the art of the series, and I think it will be fun to watch, especially for the many fans of the mobile game.
As we talked about in an earlier story, the series is scripted by Brent Friedman (of Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars), and produced by Emmy award-winner Sander Schwartz (of The Batman and Baby Looney Tunes). You’ll watch the adventures of Jake, Tricky, and Fresh across 10 4-minute episodes, coming next Summer, and then a longer series consisting of 22-minute episodes. Excited about the series?
