Prolific gamebook developer Tin Man Games has done great work with their various ports and adaptations of Fighting Fantasy. When they first got the license, they stuck mostly to adapting the books as accurately as possible. After a little bit of experimentation in games like Appointment with F.E.A.R. ($5.99), they decided to go all out for The Warlock of Firetop Mountain ($7.99), an adaptation of the Fighting Fantasy book that started it all. Going with a board game-style presentation and a new system of strategic combat, it’s a great take on an old adventure. And now for the first time on iOS, you can pick up the game at a discounted price.
That’s not all, though. A little bird has let me know that the Goblin Scourge DLC that is being added to the Steam version of the game in July will also be coming to iOS that same month. You can look forward to three new heroes, some new areas, and even some new monsters to control. Those heroes will naturally come with their own stories, one of the coolest features about Tin Man’s take on the concept. It’s likely that the new content will be delivered via IAP, just like many of the extra characters in the initial release.
As for the sale, it’s due to run through to July 5th, so you’ve got a little time to farm the necessary coinage. Don’t wait too long, however. Tin Man doesn’t run sales on any individual title more than a couple times a year, so we probably won’t be seeing a price this nice again for a while. If you need more information to help you decide, be sure to check out our review of the game. Short version: it’s pretty cool, whether you’re familiar with the source material or not. Different from the original, but cool. So find a few bucks and get to smacking some goblins upside the head, friends!

Hell yeah! So worth another buck.
This ^
Can't wait. Love the game and this much content is huge!
This is definately a great little game. I bought it when it first came out, but still just have not put a lot of time into it. I got the Paladin deck then stopped, but its time to go back and actually play it cuz its damn good...gotta be the best on the app store as far as Solitaire games with story/fantasy fluff added.
I guess I will finally update the game. A lot of old players including me didn't like the deck nerfs for an already fairly difficult game. I wish they would revert those back. Maybe the new single color decks will be easier?
Once you understand the cards played against you in each deck, you can come up with strategies to beat them. I've won everything. At the beginning it seemed too hard. After it all clicked for me, the difficulty level is just right.
I'm in!!
This is one of my favorite games. I have all the decks completely maxed and all have crown victories. I Will definitely get this . Thx developers!!!!
One of my favorite games in recent years. And the Devs are so freaking cool. The types of people that don’t avoid questions/concerns as well they just love to shoot the breeze. I’ll support this until they start a new project.
Anyone know how to enable cloud save? I can't seem to figure it out...
Update it´s out but i can´t buy the new content
Same here. Seems to crash in epic mode too.
I'm trying to have contact with devs but no lucky...
I cannot get the purchase to work yet either.
