‘Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow’ Hits the App Store and Google Play on June 29th

Back in February, Jam City and its in-house development studio TinyCo teased a new mobile game based on the Futurama animated series called Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. At that time we really had no idea what type of game this would be based on the single teaser image, but just about a month ago the developers released a new teaser trailer and some new still images that painted a pretty clear picture of Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. It’ll be a city-building type of game with some PvP battling and a little choose-your-own-adventure stuff thrown in for good measure. That brings us to today, where they’ve finally announced the release date for Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow alongside this lovely new animated trailer.

Yes, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will be beamed directly into your eyeballs on June 29th on both the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store. And those snazzy celebrities of science from the trailer above, Stephen Hawking, George Takei, Bill Nye, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson? They’re all playable in the game, naturally. What has me most excited about Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is how closely TinyCo is working with some of the creators of the show, including Matt Groening and David X. Cohen. The fan service in this one should be off the charts. So keep your eyes to the sky for Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow to drop at the end of this month on June 29th.
