I love the original Blade Runner movie for many, many reasons, so I’m really looking forward to the upcoming Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the classic Harrison Ford movie coming to a movie theater near you October 6th, 2017. And it looks like Blade Runner is coming to your devices, too. Today, Alcon Entertainment and Next Games announced that they are working on a Blade Runner 2049 mobile game. Although we don’t have much more information about the game, we do know that the game hopes to be a “highly engaging mobile game enjoyed by millions of fans globally."
Now, that statement doesn’t sound too comforting to me, but I hope I’m wrong. The Blade Runner universe offers great opportunities for storytelling, something Alcon Entertainment’s co-founders also point out, so I’m hoping we get a game worthy of the IP. Here’s hoping.

Great choice! Never heard of this game bought it slightly on impulse but glad I did! It's a relaxing adventure
I love supporting premium titles and am more than happy to do so on this long awaited release. Great job devs!
I was on the fence about this; this put me over the top. And... holy cow. This is unbelievable.
Good choice. This was my second pick this week. I'm hooked on poly bridge. Spent nearly 5 hours on a plane today absorbed in this. Lots of good stuff this week!
The review at 148 Apps is not very positive.
That reviewer seemed to be describing a game he wanted, rather than the game he was playing. To each his own. If you liked Waking Mars, Another World, BadLand, any Metroid... this should be up your alley. They mixed a ton of great stuff in here and made it their own.
There is no hand holding whatsoever... if you're stuck on a puzzle, you have to figure it out. It feels good when you do.
I haven't played Metroid, but I loved the others. I'm definitely considering it.
Metroid or more metroidvania games are games based around exploration and revisiting previous sections with new skills to progress.
Oh yeah, I know the genre. One of my favourite games is Swordigo.
5 years later with this game having sat in my “untried” folder for yonks, I’ve finally tried this game, and yeah - it’s great!
Great game, plays wonderfully on Apple TV with a Steelseries Nimbus. It reminds me a little of PixelJunk Shooter....minus the shooting.
I'm slowly leaving console gaming for mobile and when I get titles like this or Transistor, it shows me the future is bright for mobiles.
Now...Beef up the TV and have Square Enix port all Final Fantasy up to FFXIIHD!!!
😎
So worth the wait and the the bucks!
There's a lot to like about this game. However, the abysmal map that gives you only a rough idea of where you and where you've been keeps me from recommending it. Each map section is far too large for a simple box map to be sufficient.
If they add the actual paths and/or split each map section into smaller pieces, I'll revisit the game. Until then, 2 stars and deleted.
Fun game. Frustrating bare bones "map".
