There aren’t many genres that work better on touchscreens than turn-based strategy games, which makes me wonder why we don’t see more of them. Well, developer Ino-Co wants to drop their hit Steam release Codex of Victory onto mobile later this month and add one more option for the turn-based strategy fans out there. In addition to battling it out on a hex-grid landscape through an extensive campaign, you’ll also be building out a subterranean military base in a fashion that looks quite similar to the awesome Fallout Shelter (Free). Check out the trailer for Codex of Victory to get a sense of what it’s all about.
The features listed on the game’s official website boast a 20+ hour story-based single-player campaign, online multiplayer battling with detailed army customization options, more than 25 unit types each with multiple variations, and endless replayability with randomly generated missions. Sounds like a pretty sweet package, and according to Ino-Co Codex of Victory will be a fully premium release when it hits iOS. While no specific release date has been mentioned, they are shooting for mid-June which is… pretty much right now! So look for this one to land in the coming days and we’ll give you the heads up once Codex of Victory is out.
