‘Toppluva’ Promises Impressive Skiing Controls, and Needs Beta Testers

Developer PapaQuark has claimed that they’ve spent three years working on finding the perfect algorithm for ski turning on mobile. Based on the developers I’ve talked to who have made skiing games, it’s tough! But they also didn’t spend three years working on that. But PapaQuark thinks they’ve come up with a great one for their game Toppluva. But they need testers to make sure that’s the case. And that’s where you come into play. If you want to help beta test Toppluva, check out the instructions in the game’s forum thread.

But what is the deal with Toppluva? Well, it’s named after the Swedish word for ‘beanie’ which seems rather appropriate. You’ll race through 48 levels, trying get the fastest time, trimming seconds and even fractions of seconds off your times, unlocking new characters along the way. It sounds interesting, and it should hit later this summer for maximum irony. Well, unless you’re in the southern hemisphere which I guess makes it apropos?
