Isn’t it funny on those late night shows when they take two celebrity pictures and mix and match their different features together to create an abomination that would be the hypothetical “child" of said celebrities? Do you want to do that on your mobile device but with crazy creatures instead of celebrities? Then Mergimals from German studio Zunderfabrik will be right up your alley. The story in Mergimals is that you’ve inherited an old magic shop, and you’re trying to restore it to its former glory by creating the perfect creature tailored specifically to each customer. There appears to be A LOT of combinations of creatures you can create, and you’ll help them grow and mature by playing an assortment of mini-games. Check out the trailer.
In addition to creating various creatures, you’ll also be able to explore the areas around your magic shop: “Explore the secret districts around your store and keep discovering new Mergimals: some of them live in bubbling lava flows, others on snow-covered mountains. Catch them all, create new ones and become the most powerful magic store owner!" The sheer variety of Mergimals you can create really has me interested, and I like the idea of trying to create a specific one for a certain customer’s taste. I’m looking forward to checking out Mergimals when it arrives next week on March 23rd.
