Early Last Month Gameloft soft launched Gangstar New Orleans in the Phillipines. Like most highly anticipated titles, folks on our forums quickly downloaded the game and sharing their first impressions. A few days later, for whatever reason, Gameloft rejiggered things on their end to block anyone from playing the game who wasn’t actually from the Philippines. Well, the good news is as of this morning Gangstar New Orleans is now available in Canada.
It’s still important that remember that even though the game is available in a larger region that much more of the TouchArcade community has access to, this is still a soft launch. While it’s unlikely any major gameplay elements will change around, the entire point of doing these things are to tweak and tune freemium elements. I’m sure Gangstar will be loaded with free to play shenanigans, but let’s at least wait until the final global launch before passing final judgement.
