Twin-Stick shooters are doing quite well on mobile, which is a bit surprising given the absence of actual sticks. Quantum Revenge is getting ready to join the club of twin-stick shooters in March 2017, and its claim to fame is its anime influences and, specifically, the Mecha robots you’ll be able to control. With a fun combination of 3D and 2D animation, Quantum Revenge looks like it will be quite different from most twin-stick shooters out there.
You’ll of course be able to customize your Mechas, picking one of six and then upgrading it with different armors and other modules. After reading Ready Player One recently, I can’t but think of that one scene after reading the game’s description. If you’ve read the book, you know what I’m talking about. The game is going to work with both touch and controllers and will come out for both iOS and Android as well as Apple TV and Google TV in March 2017.
