Another Titan bites the dust. Titanfall: Frontline was supposed to bring the first person Titan shooter to mobile in the form of a CCG but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be after all. According to an announcement today on the game’s Facebook page, the developers decided that the game just wasn’t offering players what the developers had hoped it would. During the beta test of the game, they saw that Titanfall: Frontline just wasn’t the “intense action-packed" experience everyone associates with the Titanfall franchise.
The developers said they’ve learned a lot from the beta test, including what works and what doesn’t, and hope to bring that experience to bear on future mobile games. Titanfall: Frontline‘s closed beta will be taken offline on January 20th, so only a few days left. I’m not surprised to see it go, though, because it never looked like it was going to offer anything new, and CCGs are a dime a dozen on the App Store right now.
