Riada International has announced that their upcoming Jasper’s Rocket is set to hit the App Store worldwide on December 7th, with a soft launch happening right now in New Zealand. After getting the help of beta testers here in the TouchArcade community, this one’s ready to take off. The game is going to be a paid title, so this just means our friends in New Zealand get to try this one out themselves a little earlier than everyone else. You’ll have to help the eponymous Jasper try to fly a rocket using his paws. Rocket controls are not designed for paws, so things aren’t going to go purr-fectly.
Jasper’s Rocket might be Apple’s dream game when you run down the features. It’s made in Swift with SpriteKit. It features Game Center and iCloud support. The app will support Apple TV, and MFi controllers. Plus, there’s a sticker pack for iMessage. Somewhere, Jony Ive is smiling as he tries to eliminate the home button entirely.
