‘Football Manager Mobile 2017’ Brings Improved Scouting And Player Disciplining to the Game

If you’re a fan of the Football Manager franchise but lack a strong tablet to play Football Manager Touch 2017 ($19.99) (or simply prefer a more streamlined experience), then you’re probably about to pick up Football Manager Mobile 2017, coming out on November 17th. Sports Interactive has been teasing new features for the game for a few days now, so this is what we know for sure is coming to the game. The first major feature is improved scouting. This year you can hire and fire real scouts, each with his own specialization like Bargain Hunter, First Team, and so on. You can also see past and current assignments as well as their levels. While you could get scouting reports in the past, this year the reports have been improved to include information like player interest, estimated cost, and wage demands. You’ll also see the player’s positives and negatives in more detail.

Another new feature is the ability to discipline players for getting a red card in the previous card. You can now appeal the suspension, warn the player, or even fine him. Player interaction is also enhanced with choices on what kind of positive or negative feedback to give to the player. Finally, the game is adding Poland and Turkey leagues if you felt like playing a team from those nations. I’m glad to see SI is gradually improving FMM, and hopefully we’ll continue see the game improve as phones get more powerful.
